A vineyard rooted in its territory

In the heart of the Médoc peninsula, our vineyard is established on terroirs of character.

Icône localisation centrale

A central location

With its central position in the heart of the Médoc, the property is located in the commune of Saint-Sauveur, 3 kilometers west of Pauillac, halfway between Bordeaux and the Pointe de Grave.

Icône de bouteilles avec une certification

Two authentic appellations

The family estate extends over two prestigious appellations on the left bank of the Bordeaux vineyard: Haut-Médoc and Pauillac.

Icône terroir

A land with many facets

The proximity of the estuary moderates the oceanic climate every day, and provides a mild climate, protecting against extreme weather conditions.

We find a balanced composition of soils with a dominance of sandy-clayey soils but also clay-limestone soils .

Vision & Commitment

Logo du label "Les Crus Bourgeois"

Cru Bourgeois

Since 2003, Château La Fon du Berger Haut – Médoc has been included in the Crus Bourgeois classification, which allows it to be permanently established in the Médoc landscape.

The Cru Bourgeois label guarantees expertise and a high level of requirement. It highlights an exceptional wine tradition, offering wine lovers refined, accessible and authentic wines that fully reflect the Médoc terroir.

It is also a guarantee of security with the presence on each bottle sold of an innovative sticker which offers unit traceability and authentication

Biodiversity and Sustainable Agriculture

Respect for the environment is one of our priorities, which must be at the service of the quality of our wines. We have therefore quickly and naturally moved towards the High Environmental Value certification (HVE 3).

This label very concretely indicates the environmental performance implemented on the farm: the preservation of biodiversity, the limitation of inputs to a minimum, the non-impactful management of our effluents.

The presence of our herd of Galloway cows, which maintains the plots of meadows near the vineyard and provides part of the organic amendments to our vines, is a concrete example of this.
